Visa Granted

About three weeks ago, Cat and I were lamenting to each other on our daily ‘good night’ Skype session that another day of waiting was going to be almost too much for us to bear.

So we said I love you and good night and switched off the light. Little did we know, Mr Peabody in London had signed on the dotted line. Soon after drifting into a dream about airplanes, my phone started shrieking. I looked at the time… ‘1 am’… and saw my beloved was calling me.

Dazed and confused, I heard him blurting out a lot of words excitedly. “I’m coming baby…its happening!” I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t still dreaming. Yes… it was true and I felt the tears of joy in his voice start filling my heart with rapturous excitement as we both wept with joy and disbelief that our dream of almost a year and a half was finally coming to fruition.

The boxes of his life have started arriving and I am having to acquiesce to sharing a built in robe…(happily) he has resigned from his job of 11 years and plunging into a strange and unfamiliar world down under.

So after many many months of waiting, Cat arrives in Adelaide on his birthday, the anniversary of our engagement (11 October)

but this time he is coming home.
