As one of Adelaide’s young, modern civil celebrants, I have a detailed knowledge base of what my couples need on their special day. I also understand that the most important thing for you is finding the ‘right fit’ for that person who is going to create and perform an inclusive, happy ceremony for you and your guests.

I simply love being a celebrant for many reasons.  The thing I find most satisfying though is witnessing the magic that happens when the bride and groom come face to face for the first time at the marriage place. Being in the presence of such love and beauty is a great honour that I cherish and respect. Remembering my own wedding day in 2012, I recognise the powerful energy that these defining life moments are charged with. For me, to stand before two people who have made the decision to embark on a lifelong adventure of partnership is quite remarkable and I cannot help but be deeply moved every time.
While my official role is to perform and oversee the legal requirements of marriage,  much more than that, the most enjoyable part of my job involves working with you to craft a memorable and meaningful ceremony that really captures the beauty of your unique love story and individual personalities.

I am approachable, fun and interested in what led you both to the big decision to join your lives together. I will meet with you as many times as you need for you to feel comfortable that your wedding ceremony will be just as you have always imagined. Every couple is important to me and I hold many memories very close to my heart of every single ceremony I have performed.

You can be certain that the ceremony I prepare for you will be one of a kind as my inspiration for writing them comes from you. Whether you want the atmosphere to be fun, light-hearted and simple or deeply moving and sombre, I will adapt to your tastes and wishes for the mood you want to create on the day that best represents you both.

I believe that a civil ceremony can be just as sacred and meaningful as any church wedding. To me, marriage is not just about the legal transaction and signing of papers. More importantly it is a rite of passage that two people go through in their life to celebrate and honour their deepest love for each other and a life’s promise to always be there walking side by side.

I also perform funeral ceremonies that capture the beauty and greatness of a human life. I work with the families of the lost loved one to really understand the personality and achievements of their life. Occasionally, I have even performed funerals for the families of my wedding couples at their request because of the positive relationship we established in the wedding.

I can also perform beautiful modern and happy naming ceremonies for parents who want to celebrate the arrival of their child in a non-religious gathering.
